And so it begins. Liberals are blaming guns and gun laws rather than the terrorist. We are going to soon see legislation in Congress to ban the ownership or possession of guns if people are suspected of being terrorists. Now don't get me wrong I don't want terrorists to have guns but this law is more likely than not to hurt innocent Americans rather than catch terrorists planning attacks. How many people are now on a no-fly list but have never committed a violent act in their life they just simply have the same name as someone who is a terrorist. If such a law is instituted do you think terrorists are going to stop attacking Americans. No they will simply buy guns on the black market and avoid all background checks. If Maj. Hassan had followed the law he would have turned his guns into the base armory which is where all the law abiding soldiers personal weapons were that fateful day. Hassan is a terrorist he doesn't care about laws unless it is Sharia law. The fact of the matter is that if Hassan had tried to commit this massacre off base he likely would have been stopped quickly by an armed citizen. Many Texans own firearms and have concealed weapons permits. These are good law abiding people who would have been able to fight back if such an atrocity was being committed right before their eyes. Wolves hunt for sheep because they are easy targets. Sheepdogs are big cuddly animals but if that Wolf tries to kill a sheep the sheepdog will tear that wolf's throat out to defend his flock. So wolves wisely chose to hunt where their are no sheepdogs. In American we have what is known as gun-free zones. These are places where Americans cannot have guns. Usually schools, malls, military bases, churches, public parks, and restaurants are designated as gun free zones. So what do the following all have in common: Columbine, Virginia Tech and Fort Hood, they were all gun free zones. The problem is not the gun but rather that law-abiding citizens must leave their guns at home which makes them easy targets for the wolves.
